Sun Jan 29 Forester’s Café – Rai Valley
An untried new venue for us. The old logging camp converted into an upmarket café and accommodation location. Let’s see what they can provide.
Depart Queens Drive car park. 11.30am

Sun Feb 5 Easy Rider to Marahau Café
We will amble on over to this tourist hotspot with optional routes for going and returning.

Riverview Park Motorcycle Overnighter and Music (Murchison)   Saturday Feb 11
Keith Hill is a member of Ulysses and also the owner of Riverview Park (down by the river on the right just as you arrive to Murchison.
He has arranged an overnighter for motorcyclists (not just Ulysses) supported with live music from ‘the Three Johnnies’.
There is plenty of cabin accommodation and tent sites. The café will be open with good, reasonably priced food. Could be a fun, almost local night.

4. Ride to Hope Feb 11 (Richmond Mall Charity Event)
This event is an alternative option for this date and we encourage you to give it your support.
A flier is available on request – a 6MB file so reluctant to send it to all.
Details are:

    9.00am Open for registrations at the Trafalgar Centre ($10 per person – this includes drinks at Motueka and Hope, BBQ sandwich and entry into prize draws…) Pillions are very welcome and encouraged.
    10.00am Ride briefing and start. Please note we will be observing all current NZ road rules and each person will be responsible for ensuring they hold a current motorcycle license and that their bike is registered for the road. 
    11.00am Arrive at Motueka Hotel for sponsored non-alcoholic drink
    12.00noon Leave Motueka for Hope via Moutere and Brightwater.
    12.30 - 1.30pm Arrive Hope Domain to have sponsored drink and BBQ sandwich.
    1.30pm Prize draw – you must be there to claim your prize if your name is drawn – we will keep drawing names until all the prizes are gone!
    12.30 – 2.30pm Ranzau school sausage sizzle – meet and greet.

Confirmed donated prizes include:

    2 x 1 year motorcycle registration – valued at around $700 each
    2 x motorcycle jackets – valued at around $500 each (cost price – retail is your guess…)
    5 x $100 Richmond Mall vouchers
    RWC Jerseys
    Other stuff.
All money raised will be matched dollar for dollar by the owners of Richmond Mall and 100% will be available through the Richmond Mall Foundation.

Sun Feb 12 Lunch at Slip Inn Havelock – option on Wairau Valley return.
Been a while since we have visited this popular spot. Make a day of it and after lunch take the long way home up the valley to St Arnaud.
